Introduction about Gold Flotation Process
The flotation method is the most widely used ore dressing method in the production of gold. It has high flotation efficiency and can handle fine-grain-dipped ore. For ore with complex composition, the flotation method can get good separation results. Flotation method is often used to treat gold ore containing sulfide minerals with high floatability. The sulfide ore mainly includes sulfide-depleted gold ore (mostly quartz vein type or hydrothermal alteration type), poly sulfide gold ore and polymetallic. auriferous sulfide ore, the flotation process can maximize the enrichment of gold into the sulfide mineral, and lower the beneficiation cost.
Process of Gold Flotation Process
The flotation process of gold ore generally includes crushing, grinding, flotation and other steps.
1. Crushing:
the raw ore is crushed by crushing equipment to make its particle size suitable for subsequent grinding operation.
2. Grinding:
The ore with suitable particle size is sent to the mill for grinding operation, so that the ore particles are refined, the surface area is increased, and the flotation is easy.
3. Flotation:
After grinding, the ore and the mixture of reagents and bubbles enter the flotation tank together, and by adjusting the concentration of reagents, the amount of bubbles and the stirring speed and other parameters, the gold particles and bubbles are combined to form a foam, thus floating on the liquid surface. Subsequently, the foam is scraped off the liquid surface by a scraper to form a gold flotation concentrate.
